Historic Pub Reopens in Macclesfield

The Castle, A Grade II listed pub has reopened on Church St in Macclesfield after being closed since 2015. The Castle is also on the CAMRA National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors as being of national significance. The pub has been sensitively refurbished in a way that highlights its outstanding architectural features.

But a pub is more than just a building and they sell a constantly rotating selection of three cask ales from local breweries. In addition there are a number of keg beers and other quality drinks. There is now food available from a small well chosen menu till 7pm.

Well worth visiting, the pub is a short walk from both Rail & Bus stations. Currently it is closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays promoting Monday as a day when hospitality workers can visit.
